System development & system integration

The problem-solving expertise to meet the challenges in civilian and military aviation and the visions in mobility are firmly anchored in the DNA of ESG. Software expertise in embedded systems and IT systems is combined here with the outstanding simulation expertise of a certified aviation business.

Focus at ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH

In the field of avionics, ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH provides support to its clients in civilian and military aviation in all project phases. Our development engineers and software engineers develop manned and unmanned demonstrators as well as prototypes through to operational readiness.

State-of-the-art tools for simulation and demonstrators help our engineers to make accurate conclusions on technological developments and process optimisation. The objectives are to minimise development risks and assist clients with their decisions. Innovative and yet solid answers to technical questions – this is what our engineers are working on every day. They work together with aviation/aerospace technicians, electrical engineers, IT specialists, physicists and experts from other disciplines. This network from a variety of disciplines is an important asset when solving complex challenges.

Engineering at ESG MOBILITY

The technological complexity of vehicles has grown enormously in recent decades. Cars now consist of many components and subsystems communicating with each other and are networked with the digital world. Vehicle development therefore requires a deep understanding of the system architecture in vehicles, as does the comprehensive expertise for its integration into the digital mobility infrastructure. In-depth knowledge of these correlations and proactive involvement with the resulting issues make ESG MOBILITY an innovative systems house in the automotive sector.

Our system engineers and software developers are therefore not deployed in classic projects for the development of E/E and E/E complete systems. Working in mixed teams, they are also responsible for future-oriented technology topics, such as connected solutions, E-Mobility and automated driving. For instance, we are also working on XIL virtual validation. An autonomous vehicle must drive up to 25 million test kilometres before it is brought to the market. This volume can only be achieved by testing vehicles in a virtual environment. The responsible team collects the necessary wealth of empirical values to validate the system. Know-how on electronics, full vehicle integration, testing, control devices, bus systems and much more is the basis for such activities. The colleagues come from the field of electronics engineering, vehicle technology, informatics, vehicle informatics or similar areas.
